What one Nutritional Therapist says: "The Gotrovo Mealtime Treasure Hunt is an exciting new dinner set that serves as a tool to support families with children who are experiencing mealtime challenges by helping to promote positive feelings around eating and enjoying food.
Parents are often looking for different tools and tips to help make mealtimes less stressful. The strategies that work best tend to be where a calm, relaxed and happy environment can be created. Plus, simple rewards for encouraging children to try new foods, eat their vegetables or even just to sit nicely at the dinner table often motivate children into positive mealtime behaviours.
The Gotrovo Mealtime Treasure Hunt covers all of the above and makes mealtimes fun whilst encouraging positive experiences around eating. There is nothing quite like this on the market at the moment and I believe this could be invaluable tool which many families will benefit from, plus the children will love getting their 'treasure' at the end.
Research has found that we need to be exposed to certain tastes at least 15 times before our taste buds will adapt and like the taste! So if a child initially dislikes the taste of a particular vegetable, this set can be used to get them to take 'just one bite' and they can move their golden counter, plus receive lots of praise, and get their treasure at the end of the game. The next mealtime, if they are ready they could move onto 2 bites of the same vegetable. Once you get them to 15 exposures, they will often accept the vegetable and may even end up loving it!"
